There are various manufacturing processes for springs, but there are two main forming inches: two main techniques, cold forming and hot forming. In the spring cold forming process, the production of springs mainly uses oil quenching tempering materials, lead bath toughening heat treatment spring wire, cold drawn reinforced wire, etc., the process of manufacturing springs with such materials generally does not require special heat treatment but only needs to be stress relief annealing, and the design working stress of the spring is related to the properties of the materials used. The spring cold forming process is generally suitable for special-shaped springs with small wire diameter or more complex shapes, such as wire diameter less than 15mm, various jams, pulls, torsion springs, convex, concave, arc springs, etc. The characteristics of the cold forming process are: the factory process is simple, avoiding the deformation and decarburization of heat treatment again.
In the spring hot forming process, the production of springs mainly uses hot rolled materials, annealed materials, annealed cold drawn materials, etc., the use of such materials to make springs requires heating quenching and tempering heat treatment, the design working stress of the spring is related to the selected material and heat treatment process. The spring hot forming process is generally suitable for springs with large wire diameter or simpler shape, such as various cylindrical or tapered springs with a wire diameter greater than 6mm. The press hardening process is characterized by a large value-added effect of the product, and springs with larger diameters can be produced.
